I just felt really slow and din't feel great until the very last mile. Weird, right? Hang in there! You're going to have a great run soon and completely forget about this one.Kellyhttp://www.foodiefresh.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6606533226035762446.post-44090658257240844922010-10-23T15:07:34.771-04:002010-10-23T15:07:34.771-04:00I am always craving ice cream when it's cold o...I am always craving ice cream when it's cold out, and then I get colder. Without the crappy runs and set backs we wouldn't appreciate the good runs.

Good luck on your long run this weekend. Ignore your pace and go by how you feel. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6606533226035762446.post-31566190744252213982010-10-23T06:35:04.341-04:002010-10-23T06:35:04.341-04:00I've run competitively pretty much my entire l...I've run competitively pretty much my entire life... and here's my secret. It's always hard for me. Almost torturous... but I keep coming back for more! Its all about fighting your brain... so yes you can run 26.2 just know you will have good days and bad!Lizzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10186456510876605883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6606533226035762446.post-11752331410647635372010-10-22T16:28:06.546-04:002010-10-22T16:28:06.546-04:00Don't let this get you down. Some days I go out and feel like I could run forever...other days every step is a struggle and I feel like I'm working 100x as hard to keep up the same pace. So many other things in your day can affect your running, so an off-day is only normal. I hope you go out and rock your next run!! :)Laurenhttp://www.healthontherun.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6606533226035762446.post-15269870635159897872010-10-22T14:57:05.951-04:002010-10-22T14:57:05.951-04:00Thanks guys :) I'll keep on truckin'!Thanks guys :) I'll keep on truckin'!Brittneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12064316561225211468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6606533226035762446.post-11867272165148663282010-10-22T13:50:11.028-04:002010-10-22T13:50:11.028-04:00If it makes you feel better, I can't run 2 mil...If it makes you feel better, I can't run 2 miles straight and my pace is around 11:00. Off days definitely happen, and if you are busy, tired, stressed or overworked, it's only going to make it tougher.

Don't stress about the marathon... there is no due date you have to do one by. Maybe sign up for one for next fall and that gives you a lot of time to train!

Obviously I'm no long distance runner, seeing that I'm training for 5k ;), but stressing about running takes the fun out of it!Brittany @ A Healthy Slice of Lifehttp://www.ahealthysliceoflife.comnoreply@blogger.com
