Trying To Conceive

In January of 2011, my husband and I started trying to conceive (TTC) a baby.  Initially we did what a lot of people do and just tried without contraception for the first time in our lives, hoping it would just work.  It only took me a couple cycles to realize that I wanted to know what was going on and see if and when I was ovulating, so a couple months in, I started using Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs) and trying to plan our intimate moments accordingly (romantic, I know!).  After about 5 months I got my BFP (Big Fat Positive) and we were totally psyched to be embarking on our first pregnancy and looking forward to parenthood.  That all came to a screeching halt when at 9 week(ish), I had a missed miscarriage and surgery to remove the non-viable pregnancy.  It was sad time for us, especially me.  In the next months more of my friends got pregnant, had babies, and I was kind of in a darker place for a while.  We started trying again in September of 2011 and again, it took us about 5 months to get pregnant.  In January of 2012 we got our second BFP and were cautiously optimistic that this time we'd have a live baby at the end of September.  Sadly, we basically had deja vu when again we went in for our first ultrasound and again, there was no heartbeat.  We are now seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist who seems optimistic that with some treatment, we will have a healthy baby.  I am hoping he is right!  Below are the posts from our journey.
