Acupunture, Bloggers, and Guacamole...Oh my!

This week is actually flying by!  Can't believe it's more than half over already.  I guess the three day weekend helped a lot.  Yesterday I managed to get in to work on time despite the late night drive back from Charleston the night before.  In large part due to COFFEE!  This is actually a good work week for me because I have two days of training out of the office (today and tomorrow), so I really only have to be chained to the desk two days this week, which is a nice change :)
Knee update.  My friend Chloe offered to do some acupuncture on my knee after I told her my story.  Now, I am actually a huge needle wus.  I have been known to cry when getting shots or having blood taken.  However, acupuncture doesn't really scare me.  I guess because I know they aren't completely penetrating and going into my blood stream and taking anything out or putting anything in.  You know?  Anyway, I went over last night and let her stick lots of needles into my "bad" leg.  It was interesting.  She did about 10 needles in various places on my leg.  You feel kind of a warm throbbing sensation around the needle.  Once all the needles were in, I sat for about 20-30 minutes while we chatted before she took all the needles out.  That was it.  She said it might take a day or two to feel the result and that I might need another round, maybe this weekend.  I'm kind of regretting that I did the Jillian Michaels NMTZ on Monday, because I'm kind of sore from that and it's hard to tell what is what right now.  So we'll see.  In the meantime, I'm still planning on taking it easy on the leg.
Tonight I had a running and walking date with some of my fellow Charlotte bloggers.  I love hanging out with other bloggers :)  I met Jen, Kelly, Jessie, Lauren, and Caitlin for a run/walk in a local park.  This was my first time meeting Caitlin and she was really nice!  I'm looking forward to hopefully doing a doxie playdate with her so our pups can meet sometime.  Jessie and I walked, since she also has knee issues and the other four ran.  Eventually Lauren decided she'd had enough running and decided to walk with us, so we three walked and chatted.  Later we all met back at the cars and took a couple pictures, like all bloggers do...

On my way home I stopped for some groceries.  I picked up an avocado, tomato, and cilantro and plotted a batch of guacamole.  Which I definitely made.  And consumed.

Okey dokey, it's past bedtime and the puppy is whining for me to spend time with him.  Off I go!
