Highs and Lows

Thursday had many highs and lows.

For breakfast Thursday, I consumed this combo of:
strawberries
blueberries
strawberry yogurt
Kashi Sunshine Cereal
shredded coconut
(this was a high)

I headed into work, mostly excited for a lunch date with my friend Sarah at Luna's Living Kitchen, a vegetarian restaurant, I've been wanting to try.

Lunchtime rolled around, and I hopped in my car, all set to go and my tire pressure sensor went off.  I clicked through the screens to get a reading, and I had 5 PSI in my driver's side rear tire!  For those of you unfamiliar with tire pressure readings, that is extremely low for a car tire.  My normal PSI is about 32.  Basically I had a flat tire.
I called Sarah and cancelled and then tried to figure out what the heck I was going to do.
Luckily, some guys at work agreed to take a look.  I had a friggin dry wall screw puncturing the middle of my tire!!  Ughhhhhhh!  The guys were awesome and plugged my tire for me.
The real pain of all this is that you may recall that about two weeks ago I just replaced ALL FOUR OF MY CARS TIRES!!  So basically my new tire is already all screwed up.  SO ANNOYING!!
(this was a low)

Later I drove home, still checking my PSI all the way to make sure the plug was holding ok.  It was, thank god.

I arrived home and Greg was home from his latest trip, so that helped cheer me up!
In addition, I noticed a package over near the front door.
It was from Amazon!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
(high, obviously!)

I didn't have a ton of time, since I had plans to go out later, and furthermore, I have no idea how to use a Garmin!  But I fiddled with it a little, threw on some running gear, and out the door I went to try it out.  I did 3.5 miles in 35:22.  See, proof that I'm slow ;)
I hadn't figured out how to do the pace per mile at this point, but later, I heard how to set that up, so hopefully I'll have that going on the next run.

After my run, I gobbled down some leftover veggied fried rice, showered, got dressed, then headed out the door to meet some of my fellow Charlotte bloggers for a Girls Night Out at the bowling alley.
I arrived and Caitlin said the lanes were all full.  Time for a change of plan.  We decided to do what bloggers do best and go eat Fro-yo!

I got some chocolately flavors with Oreo, raspberries, and shredded coconut.

I like to catch people off guard...
Diana was on to me!

I got home at about 9:45pm and decided I needed to do something for the guys who fixed my tire.  Baking late at night when you're not in your right mind probably isn't the best idea.  I spread out a couple different zucchini and banana bread recipes, whipped out a muffin tin, and started going to town.

I couldn't really tell you the recipe because I was just throwing things in and changing everything up.  I also added far less sugar than was called for.  One recipe listed 2 1/4 cups sugar?!  That seemed like waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much for me.  They were good, but I've made better.  I used a lot more shredded zucchini than banana this time, and I think if you are going to use both ingredients, it's better to use more banana and less zucchini.  Anyway, I hope the guys at work liked them!

Sorry about your tire! Sometimes I wish I didn't have a car so I wouldn't have to deal with all the associated problems.

Yay for a Garmin! I'm a total numbers analyzer, so I would probably spend wayyyy too much time tracking my stats if I had one.
