My Favorite Book

Happy Monday!  It was really gorgeous here in Charlotte today, about 80 and breezy.  I took Clyde on a long walk around the neighborhood where he played with other dogs, kids, and even a couple adults.  He's quite the social dog, that Clyde ;)  He's pretty worn out now.

Day 23 of the 30 Day Challenge is - A picture of your favorite book.

I have to go with The Time Traveler's Wife.  I absolutely loved this book.  It's such a great story and I could relate to Clare being apart from Henry all the time, with my pilot husband.  I finished the book about a year and a half ago.  I was on a plane and remember holding back tears.  If you haven't read it, you really should.  It's excellent.  Be prepared for a story that jumps around a lot (I often had to turn back to the beginning of the chapter to keep track of where I was, who was there, and how old they were), but it's really complex and cool.  And for the record, I didn't love the movie, but I literally watched it a week after finishing the book.  I'd give it another chance now that I have some distance from the book and see if I liked it any better.

What's your favorite book??

I still haven't read that book. I'll have to add it to my list. I'm a big Jodi Picoult fan and I also like "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb.

Oh this is one of my favorites too! It's such a great (and emotional) story.

I LOVED this book! It's the only book that I actually cried while reading (except for Paula Deen's memoir, but that's a whole other story). We just watched the movie the other night, too. I honestly think it's one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. The movie isn't too awful either...although the book is always better!

My favorite book of all time is Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H. Lawrence...it's basically softcore porn disguised as classic literature. I read it when I was 17 and have gone back to it time and again.

I liked that book too. The movie didn't really hook me... the book was so complicated that the movie was almost too hard to follow. It definitely made me cry, and I've cried while reading books in public before. (sort of embarrassing) Happy Tuesday! (:

I would say this is in my top 5! I read it long before the movie came out. I recently read it again now that my pilot is in my life. It felt even more heartbreaking to me though!!

I never read the book but I did watch the movie and loved it. I've been meaning to read the book. My favorite book right now (as it always changes) is Water For Elephants.

We were thinking of heading up to Charlotte for a family vacation... I'm going to email you about restaurant idea :)
