Fun Times!

Hey all!  It's been kind of a busy weekend, and I admittedly missed a day of the 30 Day Challenge yesterday, so I'm a day late on that, but we'll get to that in a second.

The main part of my weekend was spent with my friend Michelle, who came over for a crash course in puppy watching, since she's graciously agreed to watch Clyde for me when I'm away for a weekend next month.  We figured it was a good idea to get them acclimated with each other.  It went well, and I think they'll have a good time together :)

I also fit in some yoga yesterday, and today I did something I probably haven't done in almost a month- I RAN!  I did 3.4 miles with Michelle this morning, before a long walk with her and Jen.  It actually felt great, despite my recent haitus from running, and the cool down walk was nice too with my company, even if it was a tad chilly out this morning!

We followed up our run and walk with some breakfast at my house.  Fruit, blueberry muffins (made by Jen), Great Harvest Bread (cinnamon chip), and actually, I also made some unpictured scrambled eggs too (gotta get in some protein!).

Ok, I'm not really sure how to answer Day 10 of the challenge - A picture of the person you do the most ****** up things with.

I think I'm going to replace the ****** with a word of my choice.  Let's go with a person I do the most FUN things with.  I will say one of my best friends, Melanie.

Mel and I were assigned dorm roommates at Ohio State.  We both transferred in at the same time- mid year my junior year.  Within a few weeks we had hit it off and become great friends and our friendship has only grown from there.

We've had some great times together over the years.

From Ohio, she went on to live in Indianapolis, and we try our best to get in a visit or two a year despite living far apart.

Melanie has this thing about eating blue things and showing her blue tongue in pictures...lol!

I was one of her bridesmaids.

And she was one of mine (her toast was MUCH better than the one I gave at her wedding!).

We spent tons of fun times together exploring cities, doing a little partying, taking vacations together (Hawaii!), visiting wineries, attending sporting events, eating, hitting the beach, and just enjoying hanging out with each other.  We've been friends for 12 years now.  Melanie's pregnant right now and due to have a little boy in June!  We're currently plotting our next visit for sometime this year.  I can't wait to meet her son!

Love ya Mel :)

How cute! I love friends like that. Great job on the run after the hiatus! I haven't been on a run in over 4 weeks- it is so so weird.
